NUMERICAL MODELLING FOR CIRCLE TUNNEL UNDER STATIC AND DYNAMIC LOADS FOR DIFFERENT DEPTH

The aim of this paper is to analyse the effects of internal and seismic loads on the stability of circle tunnels at different depth using response spectrum. A full 3D numerical model using the finite element software program MIDAS GTS NX is established. It is often assumed that the effect of earthquakes on underground structures such as tunnels is negligible but the results of this study show that the stress caused by seismic loads can be harmful to the tunnel stability. Most of the researcher explains that shallow tunnels suffer higher damage compared to deep structures. During the Shield TBM excavation, it is assumed that the excavation pressure and the Jack thrust are applied on the shield excavation face the Shield external pressure and segment external pressure are applied around that face. This work study a 3D numerical modelling was prepared to simulate the static and dynamic behavior of circular tunnels, were undertaken to investigate the seismic tunnel response conditions to compare the results in the displacement, stresses, forces and bending moments acting in the tunnel lining.

DUMP SLOPE RATING FOR INDIAN COAL MINING

In the present study, an attempt is made to establish a dump slope rating scheme for coal mine dump slope. The factor of safety of dump slopes has been calculated by numerical modelling method. Dump height, slope angle, numbers of benches, hydrological condition, cohesion and friction angle of dump material are used for this study. Numerical modelling has been done for various parameters of Dump slope. Principal component analysis is performed to know the weight of an individual parameter. Dump stability classes are mainly used to recommend the level of the effort for investigation, design and construction of dump slopes.

THE IMPORTANCE OF QUALITY ECONOMY BY COSTS REDUCTION IN THE MINING COMPANY

Economic optimum of quality is to find a balance between quality and costs of quality, therefore is very important to monitor quality costs and economic indicators for valuation of cost effectiveness. All economic indicators can provide information to the mining company in terms of quality costs trend. The main goal of this paper is obtain trend of quality costs in mining company and influence of cost effectiveness. We will use economical and statistical indicators for quality cost in mining company. We use in this paper model PAF – model Prevention Appraisal Failure, that it includes prevention costs, evaluation costs, internal errors costs, external errors costs. Cost effectiveness helps to improve TQM performance in mining company. TQM is a major business strategy. Cost ratio of this mining company is decreasing during monitored periods, it means good results. Cost of quality influence to profit in the mining company and profit is very important indicator for next business activities.

ANALYSIS OF HORNÁD RIVER FLUVIAL DEPOSITS IN KOŠICE DEPRESSION

This paper is focused on the analysis of Hornád River fluvial deposits in the area southwards from Košice. On the basis of an excerption and recherché from available archive sources the well database consisting from several hundreds of wells has been created and used for further spatial modeling. A three-dimensional (3D) model of Holocene sediments was rendered with Petrel software package. Isopach maps of thicknesses for floodplain fines, gravels and gravel sands has been constructed and evaluated. The occurrences of neotectonic faults on the basis of contrasting thicknesses of the Holocene sediments are outlined and their origin is briefly discussed. With the use of the 3D interpretation and visualization tools this paper is showing a new fresh visualised outlook of the Hornád River sediments in the Košice Depression.
